President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has ordered the freezing of the account of the Liberia Telecommunications Authority.
Presidential Press Secretary Cyrus Wleh-Badio said the action was a result of reports of excessive spending
at the LTA.

Key members of the majority bloc of the Senate have threatened what they called a final acrimonious assault to remove Pro
Temp Isaac Nyenabo.
Although they did not elaborate, the
Senators appealed to the President of the Senate Joseph Boakai to prevail on Nyenabo to resign.

An international tribunal has found three
Sierra Leone rebels guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
RUF leaders Issa
Sesay, 38, and Morris Kallon, 45, were convicted of 16 of the 18 charges, while Augustine
Gbao, 60, was found guilty on 14 of the counts.
The Freetown trial of the RUF rebel leaders, related
to Sierra Leone's 10-year civil war, began in mid-2004.
Many RUF victims in the court sighed with
relief at the verdicts. Sentences will be decided at a later date.

of Liberia for their support and solidarity demonstrated during the homegoing of the victims of the Philadelphia fire tragedy.
In a joint Interim National Administration and Board meeting a forthnight ago, Dr. Kpangbai extended personal thanks to Hon.
Jessie S. Phillips, ULAA External Affairs Committee Chairman, for the outstanding leadership he demonstrated while in representing
the Interim National Administration and coordinating its activities with the fire victim families.
