The Parker family of Robertsfield, Margibi County, Liberia and the United States is saddened by the sudden passing of  their beloved daughter, mother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend, MaryAnn Y. Parker.  This sad event occurred on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, 6:00 A.M; St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, Minnesota, USA.

She is survived by her children:  Soiyea and Moses Diahn; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sciar Parker, and her mother Whyee Paye of Providence, Rhode Island. She also leaves to mourn her loss several brothers, sisters, and cousins, including: Jacob, Esther, Richard, Doris, Ernestine, Cora, Kulah, Patrick, David,  Annie, Erica, Victoria, Dolly, Vance,  Cummie, Tetee, Willy, Zeaty, George, Emily, Barry Tedoe, Leah Beh and Jaiway Beh; many nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends in the United States, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Liberia.

MaryAnn grew up in Robertsfield, Margibi County. She was home schooled in her elementary years by Mr. Benjamin T. Richards, due to the lack of a school in the area at that time. She later attended E. Reginald Townsend Junior & Senior High school in Unification Town (Smell-No-Taste), Margibi County.  She graduated from the William V.S. Tubman High School, Monrovia, Liberia, in 1978. Following high school graduation she gained employment at the Roberts International Airport, where she worked as a Switchboard Operator until 1982 when she immigrated to the United States.

She was a Christian and a very loving Mother, daughter, sister, and friend.  MaryAnn was a selfless, caring and giving person who touched everyone she met in a positive way.

Sis., our hearts are bleeding. You have left a void that no one but God can fill.  We loved you in life and will always love you, dear Sis., even in death!  May light perpetual shine on your soul.
