BENTOL RESIDENTS IN THE U S FORM DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION
The Bentol City Development A ssociation, (BENDA) has elected a corps of officials to lead the organization for the next three years.Those elected to the executive are, Mr. M. Dave Parker, President, Hon. Edward William Carter, Jr., First Vice President for Administration, Mr. Nicolas M. Sheriff, 2nd Vice President for Operations, Mrs., Nutu Brent –Peal, Secretary General, and Mr. David M. Parker, Sr. Treasurer. Also elected was a 17-man Board of directors. Among those elected to the Board of Directors are; Dr. Mark William Andrew Holder, Chairperson, Reverend Olive Carter-Boyce, Vice Chairperson, Mr. D. Franklin Tolbert, Member, Mr. Nehemiah Brent, member, Mr. George Parker, Jr. Member, Mrs. Alberta Garnett, Member and Mr. Milton Boyce, member. Others are, Professor Lester Hall, member, Mrs. Lorraine Bailey-Mator, Member, Dr. Rita Padmore, member, Mrs. Alberta Garnett, member, Mrs. Thelma Gardiner, Member, Mr. Ivin Porte, member, Mr. Isaac Yoryor, member, and Mrs. Clavenda Varfley, member, amongst others. Also elected was a board of advisors, headed by Dr. Wilhelmina Tolbert-Holder, as Chairperson. The Bentol Development Association (BENDA), a non-profit community-based organization was recently founded by the citizens and friends of the City of Bentol, Montserrado County, and R.L living in the Diaspora. According to the Organization’s mission statement, it primarily focus is to provide assistance to its members and Liberians in general in the areas of health care and education. The organization will also create opportunities for jobs creation, reconstruction, and tourism as well as fostering and encouraging the spirit of self-reliance and self-sufficiency amongst the citizens and residents of Bentol in partnership with non-governmental agencies and other charitable organizations. Meanwhile, the induction of officials of Benda is slated to convene in the State of MN later this year. ![]() ![]() |
