OLM BOARD HOLDS MAJOR COMMUNITY TOWNHALL MEETING
Beset by DSCN1791.JPGthe recalcitrance of OLM embattled president, Kerper Dwanyen, the Board of directors is holding a major follow-up town Hall meeting this weekend.
According to a release submitted to People's News news desk the Townhall meeting is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 4:00PM at the 5139 Brookdale Covenant Church, Brooklyn Park, MN 55429 to conclude discussions on what is referred to as the "the President’s unpopular leadership that has the potential to deeply polarize our community."
The release further stated that the Board is requesting that all members of the community be present.
Speaking to our reporter, early today, the Chairman of the OLM Board, Mr. Arthur Zakama said it was important that the people be fully informed and have their questions and concerns addressed before the Board takes a decision. He said the siituation at hand has to do with issues of misappropriation of the community funds, abuse of office or power and violation of the constitution.

Mr. Zakama reiterated that despite numerous attempts to work with Mr. Dwanyen in instituting policies that will put check and balance in place, Mr. Dwanyen continues to run the organization unilaterally on the following: 1) unapproved budget for 2008 and 2009; 2) illegally signing checks to himself for non-contractual rent, 3) violating the Constitution by illegally appointing a Vice President.
The OLM President, Mr. Kerper Dwanyen has consistently refused to include or cooperate with the board in the decision process of the OLM. A Board member who declined to be named said Kerper has been running "a one-man show." He said the function of the board is to ensure that there is accountability, transparency and check and balance in the operations of the OLM. These are the key points thatKerper ran on, but he has failed to live up to his campaign promises.
He said what is most disappointing and unfortunate, is that Mr. Kerper Dwanayen has being disrespectful to the board in so many ways. The OLM Constitution refers to the Board as "Board of Directors," but Mr. Dwanyen calls them an "Advisory Board." He therefore does not seek the approval of the board on any matter regarding the operations of the community.
He went on to say that, to date Kerper has not submitted any budget  to the Board for its approval, but Mr. Dwanyen continues to use the organization funds in any way he wishes.
Recently he paid himself for what he claimed was rent for use of his personal office, but without the approval of the OLM Board and any one for that matter. He has been traveling non OLM related trips at the expense of the OLM without involvement of the Board, just to list a few he added. "This has to stop," he said.
Political observers believe, from the way things are going, the only option is the impeachment of Kerper Dwanyen.
