Falswar Int’l Charity holds Launching program in Minnesota

In the wake of the OLM cancelling the celebration of the Liberian Independence Day, several local organizations have 100_0624.jpgplanned for the observance of this important day to all Liberians.

Amongst the organizations is the Falswar Intl Charity Inc., a newly organized Liberian charity organization to be launched in Minnesota over the weekend.

The Launching program is expected to take place on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the 10251 Oak Grove Park, Brooklyn Park, MN 55428 beginning at 3:00 pm. The organization is inviting all Liberians and friends of Liberia to this worthy event.

Meanwhile in an exclusive interview with the Peoples News recently, the President and Executive Director of the Falswar Intl Charity Inc., Mr. Anthony Swaray said realizing that people today in Africa and other parts of the world are struggling to live a better life, Falswar Intl Charity, Inc is focusing on transforming the lives of the poor, distressed, underprivileged and sick people. He said his organization is also dedicated to providing wheelchairs for the crippled and cane for the blind.

Mr. Swaray said Falswar Int’l Charity, Inc is presently working on two major projects is Liberia to positively transform someone’s life. The two projects are, "Educate Liberian Children" and "Feed the Hungry" projects.

He said his organization has commenced assessment in Gbanga, Bong County where the first of the project will concentrate. He said a 40 ft contain with relief supports, books and other items for schools and the needy will be shipped to Liberia soon.

Falswar provides full Scholarship for some Junior and Senior high Students with in Public Schools. We are also giving more attention to female students whose parents are financially incapable of paying their tuition and other related fees, the Executive Director said.

He said that the "Educate Liberian Children" project is very important because his organization does not want school age girls to be abused in any shape or form. Under this project, Falswar Int’l Charity, Inc will be shipping at least 20,000 books to Liberia for elementary, Junior and Senior high schools. Mr. Swaray said his program and project will ensure that students in Liberia will be ready to read again and broaden their minds on different subjects.

Speaking about the "Feed the Hungry," the Executive director of Falswar Int’l Charity lamented that as the result of the more than ten years of brutal civil war in Liberia, the country is still experiencing difficulties in every sector; as such the children have no food and senior citizens have no one to care for them.

Falswar International Charity, Inc. was established by Anthony F. Swaray in March 2008. The dream about the formation of this organization came as a result of a desire to adequately meet the needs of the huge number of people living in countries that have been devastated by war or epidemic.

Falswar International Charity, Inc. is a public benefit non-profit organization that is organized and operated for charitable and educational purposes. The organization has come to provide relief to the poor, distressed, and underprivileged individuals who are suffering from AIDS in destitute countries including Africa, and to provide medical assistance and resources necessary in order to help the individuals overcome their hardships and live a better life.
