The Minnesota Mandingo Association Installs Officers on Saturday PNN Staff Reporter The Minnesota Mandingo Association (MMA) will install its elected officials on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at 7:00
pm at the Miracle Mrs. Monique Drier of the Brooklyn Center Police Department Community Relation will serve as guest speaker and Mrs. Georgette Gray, former member of Board of Directors of the Organization of Liberians in Minnesota (OLM) will serve as installing officer. Those to be installed are: 1. Mohamed Dorley---President 2. Mamasu Komara Dudu---Vice President 3. Lassana Bamba---Secretary 4. Abraham Bah---Financial Secretary 5. Ishmael Komara---Public Relation The
occasion will also provide an opportunity to honor Mr. Moses Dukuly, the founding father of MMA, for his outstanding contributions
to resettling Liberians in Minnesota, most of whom had nowhere to go at the time. His selfless gen The inaugural program is expected to bring together guests from OLM, county organizations, faith-based institutions, women's group, officials of FELMAUSA (Federation of Mandingo Associations in the US), including its president, Mohamed Dukuly, as well as a diverse list of participants from across the Twin Cities. The Minnesota Mandingo Association is an association of people of Mandingo descent and their spouses in the State of Minnesota. Established in 2000, MMA has been engaged in sharing, promoting, and celebrating the common Liberian heritage, culture and traditions. MMA is also devoted to promoting peace and unity, with a critical focus on charitable, educational, cultural, economic, and social exchange efforts within the local and broader Liberian and American communities.
