Madame Susanna Wah-Mleanynene Toomey’s Memorial Service

Memorial Service for the home going of Madame Susanna Wah-Mleanynene Toomey was recently held at susannatoomey.jpgthe St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Minneapolis. The service was attended by several relatives and friends from Minnesota and across the United states.

Madame answered the call of the Master to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at her home in Bowie, Maryland.

Susanna was born on January 10, 1923 in Cape Palmas, Liberia unto the union of Horatio Wah Toomey and Sophia Wla Tabla Woart Toomey.

She was a hardworking woman who served her community well. She worked in various capacities to provide for her children. She embraced the Christian faith at an early age and became a member of the Episcopal church of Liberia.

She leaves to morn her passing, six children – Charlotte E. Cooper-Farhat, Samuel Boyd, Anna Dixon-Hardy, Susanna Cummings, Adolphus Cummings and Florida Davis and several relatives and friends of the United States and Liberia.

May her soul rest in peace
