Nimba lawmaker rejects Prince Johnson

less than two Another Nimba lawmaker Representative Edwin Gaye on Monday called on Senator Prince Johnson to withdraw from the impending Presidential race. Representative Gaye told STAR Radio Senator Johnson must wait for another time before throwing his hat in the race for the Liberian presidency. Representative Gaye said, his statement is in line with the Biblical teaching that everything has time and it was not time for Prince Johnson to be President. He claimed the people of Nimba are resolved to fully support President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf than the presidential bid of Prince Johnson in the 2011 elections. The statement by Representative Gaye brings to three the number of Nimba lawmakers who have publicly asked Senator Johnson to pull out of the 2011 race. The first public warning came from Nimba junior Senator Adolphus Dolo on Independence Day, followed by Representative Francis Karway. Senator Johnson has since remained silent on the claims by his kinsmen. Political analysts who understand the behavior factor of the ex-rebel general say he is properly calculating the pros and cons of the situation before firing back.
