Firstly, we wish to inform the general public that there is no ill-will on our part at PEABODY.jpgT & J towards Bush Chicken. However, we also wish to inform those concerned individuals that we were left with no other alternative when the management of what has now become a community gossip site, as opposed to being a fair and balance news site, refused to publish our rebuttal to a series of articles posted on their website about our company.

images-12.jpgWe purposely waited for sometime to elapse, to allow us the opportunity to consult some of the elders in the community before responding. Upon doing so, we drafted our response and forwarded it to Bush Chicken. We then contacted their managing body and waited to see if our response would get posted. To our surprise we were later informed that our article would not be posted, because the editor of Bush Chicken (who happens to be the same individual who posted the articles attacking us) felt that our response was simply a self- promotion piece. What this so-called editor (Mr. Ben Brown) failed to realize was that, in both articles, he not only attempted to discredit all of our efforts, but he also questioned our contribution to the community. We felt that it was only appropriate for us to give specific examples of how we have contributed if he or anyone else had any doubts. We were then asked by “all” three executives of Bush Chicken ( Mr.Peabody, Mr. Zakama and Mr. Brown) to go back and cite exactly what we felt was Mr. Brown’s attempt to questioned our contribution to the community.

To our dismay and what can only be described as a childish, unscrupulous, unethical and uncivilized behavior, the article Mr. Brown wrote challenging our community contribution was removed from their inventory of articles. Mr. Peabody then lied to us by claiming that maybe the article was removed to save some space by their web designer. We contacted their web designer who denied ever doing so. It is also interesting that other articles which predated the article in question are still posted on their website. For the record, the article in question was the one titled “Who Benefits? OLM, Liberian Community or T&J” dated July 18, 2006.

In our opinion, this could only mean one of two things: Bush Chicken pulled the article to change it and replace it to deny us the opportunity to tell our side of the story (remember their motto is:” We tell both sides of the story”); or they simply did not comply with journalism ethics and they now want to do a cover up. We have been reliably informed that this was not Bush Chicken’s first time committing this hideous act. One thing is abundantly clear. Bush Chicken cannot be trusted as a fair and balanced newsworthy organization. Maybe it should be seen as a tabloid site filled with third grade grammar, but certainly not a news-based website.
