LIBERIAN COMMUNITY OF MINNESOTA (L C M) VISION STATEMENT

As we stake our goals and priorities for LCM’s future, we start with an inherent appreciation of and love for our members and our community in general. We will always demonstrate the foresight and courage to surmount the narrow confines of patronage, corporatism, cronyism, tribalism, sectionalism and partisanship.

We will always remain guided by our code values of cooperation, building alliances, respect for each other, responsibility and accountability. We shall remain focus on our mission by mending disparities, providing much needed social services to our community, and partnering with other Diaspora Liberian Organizations to enhance growth and development, while at the same time forging understanding, cooperation, unity and togetherness amongst Liberians of all socio-political persuasions.

We will provide the means whereby our community will dare hope and dream again; where unity, oneness and peaceful co-existence will characterize our interaction with one another.

We believe that there is inherent good in each individual; therefore, LCM will seek to involve all community members in the decision making process. We shall refrain from engaging in politics of self-destruction, and pledge to always resolve issues emanating in the community in the spirit of peaceful coexistence and compromise.
