MOUNT AIRY HOLDS INDUCTION CEREMONIES Officers of the Mount Airy Financial and Social Club in Saint Paul were over the weekend inducted into offices. The installing officer, Mr. Jallah Kennedy, chairman of the Board Directors of the Lofa County Association in Minnesota, challenged the officers and members of the organization to go beyond the distributing their money in December. Mr. Kennedy suggested that the organization undertake other long range and short ventures that will enhance that capacity of the organization to better cater to it members. Mr. Kennedy said in order to achieve this objective, unity is the key. The Lofa County Association Board chairman said any organization that operates in the atmosphere of peace, unity and harmony is bond to succeed. Mr. Kennedy congratulated the officers for the successful survival of the organization over the last seven year. Those installed into office were Mr. Abel Zarzar, President; Ms. Gertrude Freeman, Vice President; Mrs. Evenlyn Seton-Kennedy, Secretary; Mrs. Cecilia Harmon, Financial Secretary; Mr. Momo Helb, Treasurer and Mr. Boakia Dorley, Chaplain. Addressing to the audience following the induction ceremonies, Mr. Abel Zarzar promised to make Mount Airy a viable organization that is second to non in the Liberia Community. He said he had embarked several program and project to move the organization to another level. In remarks, Hon. Benoni Tarr Grimes, a founding member and chairman of the Organization’s Constitution review committee congratulated the newly installed officer and promised to assist them achieve their aims and objective. He said his committee has been working asidiously to ensure that the organization’s constitution reflects that principles and aspiration of the all members of the organization. Mount Airy Financial and Social Club is a non-for-profit self help organization founded in 2001 on Mount Airy Street in Saint Paul, MN. The organization has over forty members and has a reputation for accountability and transparency. This has been the strength of the organization. Some of the founding members of the organization are Mrs. Cecilia Harmon, Mrs. Zettie Dwuye, Hon. Benoni Tarr Grimes, David and Frances Joshua, Chris Wisner, Charles and Florence Deputie, Cooper Wahlo among others. The program was organized by the Social Committee under the Chairmanship of Mr. Roland Kla Harmon. The Master of ceremonies was Mr. Patrick Morris.
