MT. AIRY MEMBERS TRAVEL THE WORLD Two members of Mount
Airy Social Club leave the twin cities for visit to Liberia and Mr. Jeremiah Togar Horace, Co-Chairman of the Social Committee and Ms. Pressure Morris will be away for an unspecified period of time. As a way of biting farewell to Mr. Horace, some of his friends, Mrs. Helena Horace and the United Friends of Christ held a send-away get-together in Big Lake, MN at the resident of Sylvia and David Tolbert. In remarks the several friends and wife said they will miss Mr. Horace. Speaking on behalf of the Mount Airy Social club, The Chairman of the Board of Director, Hon. Benoni Tarr Grimes paid tribute to Mr. Horace for the humor, constructive debate and suggestions for the good of the organization. He expressed sentiments of best wishes and prayed the lord opens avenues and doors for him. For her part Mrs. Helena C. Horace, who is also co-chairman of the Mount Airy Board of Directors, said she will really miss her husband. She pray for success for whatever he endeavors to under take while away and look forward to a time they will reunite.
In response, Mr. Horace expressed thanks and appreciation to the members of the United Friends in Christ for throwing the send –away get-together. He said he was honored by this surprise and kind gesture. Mr. Horace pointed out that he value the friendship he made since he arrived in the twin cities. Representing Mount Airy at the Occasion were the General Secretary, Caroline Galimah, Chairman of the Social Committee, Mr. Roland Harmon, Mr. Leonard Hena, Mr. Warkie, and many others.
