Meet Mt. Airy 10th Anniversary Key Note Speaker The 10th Anniversary Key Note Speaker is Mr. Zubah Gayflor Kpanaku, Jr. He is a Member of
the OLM Board of Directord, Treasurer of the MN Chapter of Unity Party USA and Born on December 22, 1958 in Todee District, Montserrado Countym Mr. Kpanaku was adapted by his father's only sister from mother in mid 1966 and taken to Monrovia, and later to Zolowo, Zorzor District, Lofa County in march 1967. Spent his formative years growing up in Zolowo, finished 6th grade there in 1972 (dux, or 1st Place) of his class; went to Zorzor Central Jr. & Sr. High School in 1973 & 74 before coming to Kakata in 1975 and completed 9th grade in 1976 at Lango Lippaye Jr. High School. Those were the only years (1975, 76, & 77) that Kpanaku lived with or near his biological parents in Kakata while in school only because his adapted father, Mr. Willie Gibson had develop eye problem and had to travel to his daughter Esther Gibson-Moore in the USA for treatment in 1975. Graduated from high school as Valedictorian in 1979 from Liberia Christian High School in Central Buchanan, Grand Bassa County (100% American Women in Liberia Scholarship),graduated from LS/VTC in Yekepa, Nimba (Heavy Duty Mechanic) as Valedictorian 04/1980 to 12/1982 (100% Lib Govt Scholarship), graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cuttington University College (CUC) 09/83 to 12/86 (100% LAMCO Scholarship) in Chemistry, Mr. Kpanaku was High School Principal & Science Instructor at Phebe Community Lutheran High School 02/87-12/1988; was Lecturer & Lab Coordinator at CUC 07/88 -07/89; and travelled/came to Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA as a 1989 Fulbright Scholar from Liberia (left Liberia Aug. 6, 1989) for graduate studies in Chemical Education and earned his first M.Sc degree in 08/1993 in Chemical Education; worked at Purdue as Clinical Chemistry Research Assistant from 09/93 to 08/96. He earned a 2nd Masters Degree
(M.Sc.) in Analytical Chemistry in 09/1999 from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio; Worked as Quality Control/Quality Assurance
(QC/QA) Manager for Analytical Product Group, Inc. (APG) of Belpre, Ohio 08/99 to11/99; worked as State Chemist in Analytical
Services for the State of South Dakota stationed at South Dakota State University (SDSU), Brookings, SD (12/1999 to 12/2003);
and wanting to be back in the classroom, joined Saint Paul College and North Hennepin Community College as Adjunct Chemistry
Instructor 01/2004 to 06/2006 and finally became Full-time Chemistry & Chemical Technology Instructor at Saint Paul College
from 06/2006 to present. Vice President for Lofa Association in Minnesota (LAM) (2008 -2010) and OLM Board Member (2009 -
